Salted Cheese Foam Tea

Salted cheese foam tea is a very light drink that gets its signature foam top from cream cheese. I was surprised to learn that the foam is so easy to make! It only needs 4 simple ingredients and some air bubbles.

Instead of adding white sugar to the tea, you can also add juices or syrups such as mango, lychee, or other types as long as it is not very acidic. Acidic juices such as lemonade or processed juices that have added citric acid will solidify the milk proteins. You can also use black tea or oolong tea instead of jasmine.

The drink in front has homemade grape juice added for sweetness.

If you don't have heavy cream, you can substitute it for milk and add a bit more cream cheese instead. This will cause the topping to be less foamy, although the taste will still be the same.
